Hi All,

I've just logged on to apply for a new e Visa Non O based on being a parent of a Thai child and I can only apply for a single entry.

Is this right? Or is it a glitch in the system?

I was using the UK e-visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the e-Visa Non-O application process and its entry options, specifically whether it is limited to a single entry due to recent system changes. Community responses confirm that the current e-Visa system for Non-O visas only allows for single entry applications, and alternatives such as tourist visas for longer stays are discussed. Suggestions to contact the embassy for potential exceptions are also mentioned.

Two choices:

The METV get 60 days, extension of 30 days and travel abroad

OR

get the Single Entry Non Immigrant visa, get 90 days, apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay and when stamped in passport the Multiple Re-Entry Permit.

my problem is getting the extension done, I can’t wait 2 months to apply + 30 days notice period. I travel outside Thailand for work

Not see the need to wait two months inside Thailand, just buy the re-entry permit and come back during for the remaining of the 90 days.

But I guess, you looked into that option already, alternative is the Thai Elite Visa.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email.

Only tourist visa multiple entries for 6 months that you can have or get Non-O 90 days and extend for a year visa in Thailand but you do need Thai Bank account and prove of fund

Reply from consulate even though in the email I sent them I have funds and can provide more and explaining how taking 3 months (2 months waiting then apply for extension then 30 day’s consideration is not possible for people who travel to work)

This is the best info I can get??

WTF!

you've been living in Thailand for 17 years? Why dont you get the 1-year extension of stay then for raising a thai child that you have custody of?

on my last visa extension of my last visa, I had to travel and not wait for the 30 day consideration. No consideration was given. So I started again and now this. Get it!

Have to get the single entry then apply for multi reentry now I think, I'm in the same boat. Also any one know the UK cash requirements, in 2022 it was only 10k in the bank.

I got a multi-entry non-O based on being over 50 from UK. No problem but maybe the rules have changed.

@Geoff ******
, no more multiple entry option for Non-O visa on the eVisa system since the system update late last year.
Ellie *******
Unfortunately, Non-O visas are issued only as Single Entry on eVisa system.

You can ask London to see if they consider special cases.
