TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a six-month visa expiring in April, and while currently in Australia, asks if they can apply for a Non-O visa starting in late April or May while still holding their current visa. Comments clarify that one cannot apply for a new visa while a valid visa is still in effect, and the current visa cannot be 'future dated'. Specific mentions of the user's current visa type (possibly Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) indicate that they should consider extending their existing visa before it expires.

A 6 month visa implies you currently have a Multiple Entry Tourist (METV)? You can't apply for any other visa while that remains active

If your on the OA visa as per your previous post you can apply for extension of that before it expires if you dont want to apply after it expires for the Non O

If you already have a valid visa, you cannot apply for a new visa until that visa ends. You cannot have 2 visas at a time.

All Thai visas are effective the date they are issued, you cannot "future date" a visa application.
