Hi all,

I have been on an education visa for almost a year now and I have been told to get a new one I need to do a Border Run. Basically they are saying I can only upgrade a Tourist Visa to an Education Visa, I cant just get two education Visa in a row.

I have spoke to some Agencies and a couple have said I cannot do a land border run with an Education Visa. A few have also said it is possible but not sure what to believe.

My school says I just need to do a border run to get a tourist visa then I can do another year with them.

Does anyone think this doesnt add up or is anyone on or previously on an education visa able to confirm?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeking clarification on the process of switching from an Education Visa to a Tourist Visa in Thailand raises concerns about conflicting advice on border runs. Some agencies state that a border run is not possible with an Education Visa, while the school suggests it is an option to obtain a Tourist Visa for further renewals. The conversation highlights confusion regarding visa regulations and the reliability of information from different sources.
