Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my visa status in case it’s useful for anyone. Unfortunately, my DTV visa application was rejected 😔 and I’m honestly not sure what went wrong.

Country - Bangladesh

Applied - Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka

Category - Workcation, Remote worker

Application Timeline:

* Applied & paid visa fees – June 18, 2025

* Payment Submitted – June 18, 2025

* Pending Document Check – June 19, 2025

* Pending Approval – July 30, 2025

* Rejected/Canceled – July 31, 2025

Now I’m planning to apply for the Soft-power (Medical Treatment) category, as I have a year-long treatment history at a specific hospital.

If anyone here has applied for this category before, I’d be truly grateful for any tips or suggestions—especially on what additional documents could improve the chances of approval 🙏.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can step forward to help—it would mean a lot.

To be honest my experience with House of Taste for a Thai cooking course has been very pleasant! the course is for 6 or 12 months and they can offer visa support service as well

Did you attend face to face interview? Embassy of Dhaka calls for every DTV candidate for interview. I applied for DTV on June 3 from Dhaka and got visa on 14th July just after the interview.

You need minimum 6 months of treatment plan and appointments from a hospital in thailand.

for medical thats the two most important. I had to go from medical to workation because if this because finding a hospital willing to give appointments that far ahead was hard. Depending on embassy they can be less or more strict aswell so.

Was it rejected or was it canceled? Canceled usually means there was a discrepancy with your data

Are you applying in Bangladesh ? Have you travelled before to Thailand? Someone posted BD is strict in giving approval if you have limited travel experience.

Hi man thanks for asking. Yes I have applied from Bangladesh. We have a regular travel history to Thailand from 2019, every year we went to Thailand 3 times and stay 2 months each. So in last

years we have travelled so many times. Also we do have a lot of travel history in Southeast Asia. I have 10 years remote Job experience, had the double the amount of money that was asked, had a lot of experience in tech and startup eco system. But maybe I have made some mistakes. We still love Thailand 🙏
