My 30 day visa extension expires Tuesday and rather than leaving Thailand for another country wanted to know if it's possible to hire a service to obtain a SETV. I'm currently in Chiang Mai.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) while their current 30-day extension is about to expire in Chiang Mai. The comments suggest options including extending the current 30-day visa for another month at the local immigration office or making a visa run to Myanmar to receive a new 30-day exemption upon re-entry to Thailand. It's noted that SETV applications must be made outside Thailand through a consulate or embassy, meaning the user cannot hire a service to obtain the visa while remaining in Thailand.
Simplest thing is take a Green Bus to Mae Sai, go over the bridge to Myanmar, turn around, re-enter Thailand and take the bus back to Chiang Mai . You'll get a 30 day exemption which can be extended. I'm doing this myself on Tuesday as my current visa exemption also expires then. You can do the land entry visa exemption twice per calendar year.
You can only apply for a SETV at a Consulate or Embassy and they are outside Thailand. an Agency can not bring your passport to the border stamp out, stamp in other country and apply for a Visa without you.
