Can you always extend a 30 day tourist visa for another thirty days?
Maybe want to go to Burma for 30 day visa and extend it for 30 days in chiang mai after.
Did the extension in chiang mai before with my past tourist visa that I got at thai embassy in the Netherlands.
Thanks for any advice! :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, a 30-day tourist visa can typically be extended for an additional 30 days at a local Immigration Office in Thailand, such as in Chiang Mai. However, there are specific rules, including limitations on the number of border runs allowed in a calendar year. A Single-Entry Tourist Visa obtained from a Thai Consulate grants 60 days stay and is also extendable. Be sure to check the latest regulations before proceeding.
Yes, I did exactly that. I had a tourist visa for 60 days and extended that in Chiang Mai. After that, I went to Burma and got one for 30 days and extended that one again in Chiang mai.
