I live in CM and my son is in Thailand on a 45 day visa and will be in CM soon and would and would like to extend his visa here.

Will he be ok to simply declare my address on extension form with a copy of my tm30 receipt

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user in Chiang Mai is inquiring about extending their son's 45-day visa, seeking to know if they can declare their address on the extension form along with a TM30 receipt. A comment clarifies that their son is on a 45-day visa exempt entry stamp and can apply for a single 30-day extension for 1900 baht at the immigration office. It is recommended to go to the immigration office in Central Festival Mall, as it is less busy, and suggests accompanying the son to ensure compliance with TM30 filing.

That is between you and C/M immigrations, ๐Ÿ˜•

I'd send him to the office in Central Festival Mall (as they aren't busy) BUT keep in mind they might want him to have a TM30 filed too. So if you can go with him when he goes to get his extension that'd be good

AND

just so you're clear, he's not here on any 45 day visa ๐Ÿ˜ฎ because there is no such thing ๐Ÿ˜•

He's here on what's called a 45 day visa exempt entry stamp and he can get ONE 30 day extension from that stamp for 1900baht at the immigration office.
