I entered Thailand on January 6, 2026 on a 60-day visa exemption. On January 10, I got a new passport.

This coming Feb, Im going to apply for a Non-B visa. Do I need to do anything with my passport or immigration records before leaving Thailand to apply for the Non-B? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user entered Thailand on a 60-day visa exemption but recently obtained a new passport. They are seeking advice on handling their immigration records before applying for a Non-B visa. Key suggestions include keeping the old passport, since it contains important stamps, and there are two main options: either apply for a 30-day extension obtaining stamps in the new passport or show both passports when exiting Thailand before the visa exemption expiry.

You have two choices

IF you're going to get a 30 day extension on your 60 day visa exempt entry take BOTH passports to the immigration office and they'll move the stamps and then put the extension in the new passport

OR

if you're not going to get a 30 day extension and instead leave on/before the expiration date of your visa exempt entry, just show both passports when you stamp out and they'll stamp you out on the new one.

Either way works. .. .
