TLDR : Answer Summary
Post-holiday, it is advisable to delay your visa extension in Bangkok by a day due to anticipated high traffic at the immigration office. Arriving early on a normal day can reduce wait times significantly, while the first day after closures could be extremely busy.

I would be curious to know anybody who is extending there visa with a tourist visa and if they have to show TM.30

Before all the “No it alls” comment saying you should have one, I know!!!

I just would like to know if they are asking for it 🙂

Yeah I made that mistake once after a long weekend, went in the afternoon too, took almost 5 hrs. On a normal day if you go in the morning (say before 9:30) it's 30 mins in and out.

Yes on both accounts. Tomorrow is the first day after 4 days closed so it'll probably be a nightmare. But always a good idea to arrive early if you didn't make an appointment
