TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 30-day extension at any time during your initial 30-day period, but it's recommended to do so at least 5 days prior to your visa's expiration. The extension is added to the original expiration date. Generally, you can extend your stay once by 30 days, after which you may need to leave the country or apply for a different visa.

You can do it anytime, and it runs from date of expiry of your initial 30 days. We recommend at least 5 days prior to expiry just in case something comes up.

Could i ask how many times can you do that? I mean, add another 30 days or extension? Is it just the once then you have to leave?
covid extensions are great... My wife and I both arrived on 30-days visa exempt... Then got covid extensions.. Wednesday just gone was 2 years and counting... Hahaha 🤣
It is only possible to extend 30 days for 1 time. After that, you have to apply for the Covid extension (if available) leave the country, or apply for a visa that suits your purpose.

I just went 2 weeks after arrival. Got 30 days added to the end of original end date. Go when you have time.

I just had mine extended, they gave me 30 days from the expiry of the original 30 days, I still had 5 days to run on my original entry. I was under the impression that it started from the day it was given but not so this time.
they always “tack on” the 30-day extension. Even if you go do it the second day you are in country. You always get your full 60. I have never heard of or experienced otherwise.👍
