Is it better to apply for an evisa in Australia for indian passport or better to get visa on arrival in the airport ?

Applying evisa requires hotel bookings itenaries etc which I am yet in the process so wanted to check if anyone has done evisa or VOA travelling from Australia..

TLDR : Answer Summary
For Indian passport holders planning to travel from Australia to Thailand, applying for an eVisa is not an option as the Thai embassy/consulate in Australia does not participate in the eVisa program. Instead, travelers can opt for a visa on arrival (VoA), which allows for a 15-day stay but cannot be extended. Alternatively, a tourist visa provides a 60-day stay but also cannot be extended.

The Thai embassy/consulate in Australia do not participate in evisa, so it's not an option.

What you do depends on how much time you will be spending in Thailand. Visa on arrival is 15 days and cannot be extended.

Tourist Visa is 60 days and cannot be extended for Indian passport holders.

your question doesn't make any sense. Do you need to apply for the tourist visa prior?? If you want or need a tourist visa you have to apply for it obviously. Why don't you try checking the embassy website for their information.
