Hi guys! I have an Indian passport and my 60 days visa expires on 20 sept. I want to stay for 3 more months and found that I can do that by getting an extension and 2 visa runs by road. However, I wanted to ask if its possible for me to go to one of the neighboring countries for 2/3 days and get another 60 days visa. I spoke to this company called bangkok buddy and they said the consulate in cambodia do not take indian passports(which sounds weird to me, but also confusing). I am currently in pai and and want to move to bangkok after 15 september for the rest of my trip. Any suggestions will be very helpful. Please let me know if you need any other information.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding an Indian passport, is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand after their 60-day visa expires on September 20. They mention options like visa extension and border runs but are confused by conflicting information about applying for another visa in neighboring countries. Responses clarify that Indian passport holders cannot extend their tourist visa beyond 7 days within Thailand and cannot perform land border runs for a new visa. The only viable option is to return to India to apply for a new single or multi-entry tourist visa.

As Indian passport holder you cannot do 1) Extend your tourist visa within Thailand, the maximum you can get is 7 days extension and will have to leave within 7 days.2) Indian passport holders cannot do land border runs to extend their visa or get new visa in neighboring countries like Lao, Cambodia, Myanmar or Vietnam 3) The only option for you is to return back to India and apply for new tourist visa single entry or if you want to stay longer get multi entry tourist visa which will allow you to stay for six months in 60 days increment.Lastly don't follow wrong advice which will land you in trouble, if unsure as to your status contact your nearest immigration office for details.
