What type of visa should I apply for a 27-day Yoga Teacher Training course in Thailand, and do I need to book return flights?

Question

Hello, I have a Cypriot passport and planning to visit Thailand for a Yoga Teaching Training course in September that lasts 27 days, and i'm interested in staying for a few more days to explore Thailand. I would appreciate if you could please advise on the below:
1. Which type of Visa i should apply; Tourist Visa or Non Immigrant or other.
2. Also, I have read on some websites that in order to enter Thailand, i need to present a flight ticket to another country on the 15th day of my visit. Kindly advise if i need to interrupt the course and leave the country in order to re-enter and if a flight ticket needs to be prebooked.
3. In order to apply for a Visa do i need to have both entry and exit flight tickets booked?
4. Can i apply for a 60 day Visa directly or 30 day and then request an extension?

Thanks for considering my request!🙏

The user seeks guidance on the appropriate visa type for a 27-day Yoga Teacher Training course in Thailand, suggesting a single-entry Tourist visa would be suitable as it allows a 60-day stay with a possible 30-day extension. Additionally, they inquire about the need for a flight ticket to exit Thailand on the 15th day, the necessity of booking both entry and exit flights for the visa application, and whether it’s possible to apply for a 60-day visa directly. Comments confirm that a Tourist visa is recommended and clarify the need for flight tickets when applying for a visa.

As a Cyprus passport holder if you don't BUY a visa before you come here you will get a 15 day Visa On Arrival for 2000baht and you will have to leave after that runs out

You can apply for a tourist visa from the eVisa website at thru the thai consulate in Rome

You want to apply for a single entry TOURIST visa. That will stamp you in for 60 days when you arrive, and you can extend that one time for 30 more days for 1900baht
