Hi all hopefully someone can solve this conundrum. I am applying for a 90 day e visa through the portal. It appears I need proof of booking of flights and accomodation before I can complete the application for the visa. I don't wnat to state the obvious but without knowing how long the visa application will take how can I book flights and accomodation ? thoughts ?
Answer summary
The user is seeking advice on how to apply for a 90-day eVisa to Thailand when the application requires proof of flight and accommodation bookings. Community members suggest submitting tentative bookings or reservations instead of confirmed ones. The processing time for eVisas typically ranges from three to fifteen business days, and requirements may vary by embassy, with some needing actual flight bookings. It's recommended to book hotels with free cancellation options and consider flexible travel arrangements.

Paul Lyon thanks I have issues in the past with not having a return flight.I was working in Laos and needed a letter of transit. A good cheap onward flight is a good idea. I booked accommodation with free cancellation that worked well cheers

Just SHOW your planned date of departure flights to Thailand... and the first week of your stay in Thailand. DON'T BOOK. As you appear to be carrying an Australia PASSPORT, the Thai Embassy and Consulates in AU are VERY helpful.

the visa is valid for 3 months from the date they issue it, the system will let you upload tentative bookings (reservations you make without paying) and most embassies accept that as far as how long different embassies take to process eVisa applications GO to the website of the embassy you're applying thru and read their posted processing time Another thing that affects the processing time is YOU, if you upload what they want, where they want it, etc. IF they have to email you for more or additional documentation it can push the processing time out

Which country are you applying from? I know for the london embassy they want actual flights not just potential flights so you have to show a booking.

You need full confirmation of travel itinerary as I had to when I applied as first time i just put the flight numbers without. Booking so got asked again for more documents. And the documents where another photo from mobile. Selfie and proof of flight travel as I had already sent my 2 week hotel stay until I found a long term stay once I got to Thailand

I am curious as to what your basing the visa.
