Is it still possible to get a tourist visa for Thailand as a walk-in in Penang, Malaysia, or is the eVisa now mandatory?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a tourist visa for Thailand in Penang, Malaysia, is currently walk-in, but there are changes on the horizon. Although the eVisa was expected to start in October, it appears this has been delayed to potentially mid-2025. Travelers can consider visa exemption options for free entry if eligible.

im pretty sure the e visa start has been put back anyway ,found it .!!- The ETA was initially set for a December 2024 launch but has been delayed until between December 2024 and June 2025 due to the government's coordination efforts, as reported by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Immigration Bureau on 23 September.

it's not a visa. It's same thing other countries use like USA. Makes entry quicker.
