Does the Amazon Fire Stick work in Thailand, and what do I need to know?
Is anyone using a fire stick in thailand and does it work OK
Answer summary
Many users report that the Amazon Fire Stick works well in Thailand, enabling access to various streaming services as long as a stable internet connection is available. However, for certain content, especially region-locked services like BBC iPlayer, a VPN may be necessary. Some users have had issues with overheating due to the hot climate in Thailand, and there are mixed experiences with devices from different countries. Overall, the Fire Stick is a popular choice among expats for streaming content.

Is this the recommended “Wise” app that several posts and comments have mentioned?
And if so, I assume you just link this with your bank acct in home country.
Thanks!

they are both very user friendly and easy to use but I prefer the Firestick, even though I've had 2 die on me in Thailand, which I think is due to the hot and humid climate. Check out the reviews on YouTube for both makes before you finally decide to buy one.Paul *******

I have used mine for two years. I run it through a VPN so I get the American programming. I run Netflix, Youtube, news and various other streaming platforms. It seems better with the VPN logged into the country of its origin.
