I believe the documents are same as for initial 30 days extension plus an affidavit
However someone says I need a tm 30 ( record of residence) is that right? If so would a letter from my hotel be enough?

No. You will need ONE of the following from the image below. The HOTEL can submit the TM30 online using one of the three applications:
