TLDR : Answer Summary
The timing for applying for a one-month visa extension at immigration in Thailand depends on the specific immigration office. Larger offices, such as those in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, typically allow applications when there are 45 days or fewer remaining on your current stay. Most other offices permit applications with 30 days or fewer left. However, some offices, like those in Jomtien/Pattaya, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan, only accept applications during the final week of your visa.

That depends on what immigration office you are using.

Larger immigration offices like Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai allow you apply when you have 45 days or less left on your existing stay.

Most offices in Thailand allow you to apply when you have 30 days or less left on your existing stay.

A few offices like Jomtien/Pattaya, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan only allow you to apply when you are on your final week.

your hotel should know what you are asking. That's not how TM30 works

yes thank you. What i mean is that i stayed in a different place every day. Is the tm30 request from current place that i am staying today is sufficient enough and I don’t have to ask for the same request from other hotels i stayed before. Right? And i am staying in hostel now. Is hostel even qualified?

@Kai *****
The TM30 from where you slept the previous night is what is required

@Graham *****
yes exactly your most recent TM30 location is what you need to use

@Kai *****
There is no qualification. It's a legal requirement for anywhere.

what about chiang mai? And aside from the filled up form, do i need to bring them any ticket reservation or hotel booking?

@Kai *****
I specifically mentioned Chiang Mai in my post...

You need to ask your hotel for a copy of the TM30 they filed for you.
