TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion revolves around how much cash, specifically Thai baht, can be brought into Thailand without the need for declaration. While some users share personal experiences with large cash amounts in other currencies like GBP and insights about customs regulations, they suggest checking the official customs website for the most accurate and updated information.

I was stopped by sniffer dogs trained to detect cash (at a U.K. Airport)

Its not the answer to your question as ive never known or heard of any one bringing that much Thai baht into Thailand , Ive £10,000 in with me a few times without declairing . About 8 yr i brought £20,000 in hand luggage and declaired it with a bank statement showing id withdrawn from my bank no problem . Before any one asks why bring cash , Simple there was a private currency exchange in walking st who gave excellant rates the more you cashed
