What's the maximum amount of cash in baht a single person can bring into the country? Reading differs from 50k to 500k so wanted to just clarify. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers can bring THB 50,000 per person or THB 100,000 per family holding one passport into Thailand without restrictions. There is no maximum amount of Thai baht allowed, but travelers must be prepared to explain the source of large sums of cash if questioned. Additionally, for foreign currencies, amounts exceeding USD 20,000 must be declared.
On request: David Broadfoot Robert Lagas It's "to do whatever".

Complaining about usage of the English language by others but not willing to help them out. Why complain?

This is the second time you respond to a comment of me about the English text. First time I replied by if I need an English teacher I call you. So Please translate in proper English the rules of bringing in or exporting cash in or out Thailand.

David Broadfoot because like most on this page you know everything. Would you like to argue the point with the BOT?
Section 2
2. Local Currency
There is no restriction on the amount of Thai baht bank notes that may be brought into the country.
A person traveling to Vietnam, the People's Republic of China (only Yunnan province) and Thailand's bordering countries is allowed to take out up to THB 2,000,000. Taking out Thai Baht bank notes in an amount exceeding THB 450,000 requires declaration to a Customs Officer.
A person traveling to other countries is allowed up to THB 50,000.
I came in with USD 10K in June this year , no problems whatsoever. It's always easy to carry USD .

Yea right , I had hidden mine in various pockets of my bag and in my wallet so that I don't have to declare in my home country. I knew Thailand wouldn't give a shit even if it was 10k plus.

way back in the day when I moved here I flew in with a PILE of USD. Even declaring it in the US I had trouble getting out. When I landed here and went to the "something to declare" line, they didn't even wanna see it or care, they just waved me thru :O

Google is your friend ;) you can bring in THB 50,000.- per person or THB 100,000.- per family holding one passport.
Foreign currencies: unlimited.
However, amounts of foreign currency exceeding USD 20,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared to a Customs Officer upon arrival by all travelers.
