Any suggestions on cheapest way to send large excess luggage and boxes from Cyprus to Thailand? Post or otherwise? And does it get delivered to your door or pick up at airline or port?
Sorry I've never sent stuff before when moving abroad. Thanks so much in advance for your suggestions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on the most affordable options for shipping large excess luggage and boxes from Cyprus to Thailand. Comments suggest various cost considerations, such as shipping via air or sea, potential customs fees, and the general expense of moving. Several users recommend minimizing belongings, advising that it may be cheaper to buy new items in Thailand, and some mention using international shipping companies like DHL while cautioning about customs regulations.
you can get them made, but casual stuff can be tricky to find if you are large build or tall….especially if you are not in BKK better than it used to be
yes that's what I was thinking. My husband and I are tall and big feet 😁 I thought we'd have trouble finding certain clothes for us past casual beach wear. Is that true?
DHL just bear in mind that if there is anything new that you remove any tags etc as they will you to charge you tax etc. I moved 80 know via DHL when I moved here no problem and got charged 1200 baht tax which is fine but just make sure nothing has any new tags etc. As I said
We are moving to the Korat area in June and when I checked on getting 3-4 boxes of stuff shipped from The US to Thailand I could not believe the costs. The airlines charge about $200 per extra piece of luggage or box with up to 50lbs. So we are going to strip it down to the bare minimum. Hope this helps. Good luck!
There are many international shipping and removalist companies and all should be able to provide a estimate of the cost if you know what you want to send and most can provide delivery to your overseas address.
Air freight will be quickest of course but very expensive.
Shipping by sea a cheaper option but very slow..
You need to contact some companies for cost estimates.
