For folks who successfully got the DTV from applying in Vietnam. Was it crucial your 500k THB be in Thai Baht or can I have it in an equivalent currency? I have the equivalent right now in Canadian dollars and want to avoid the exchange rate fees if possible.
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many expats applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) from Vietnam have found that you do not necessarily need to have the required 500,000 THB specifically in Thai Baht; you can also present an equivalent amount in other currencies, such as Canadian dollars. However, it's essential to confirm that your bank account, regardless of its currency, meets the visa application requirements.
Any checking or savings account ... Must not be attatched to any sort of savings plan or stocks of any kind or they will make you move it and that adds a month to your application time.
It's in my Wise Canadian account, which I've read has been fine with applications done in Vietnam. I'm going to apply via Hanoi as it seems to be quicker and more relaxed than HCMC
