TLDR : Answer Summary
The retirement visa in Thailand, specifically the Non-O visa and its extensions, allows for unlimited exits and entries as long as a re-entry permit is obtained prior to leaving the country. There are different types of visas and extensions; for example, the yearly extension based on retirement allows for multiple entries without limits, while consecutive short stays on a single entry visa may lead to complications with future applications.

no. Its an extension on your initial 3-month visa based on retirement. Alot of people get this wrong. Explained by Siam legal.

Bryant Day . . . in case you are planning multiple holidays with a "90-days single entry Non-imm-O retirement visa", and never change it into the "1-year extension of stay based on retirement"

you know, this visa category has never been meant for doing consecutive 90-days holidays. For this purpose, Thailand offers single and multiple tourist visa.

I can rest assure you that after two consecutive 90 days holidays within a calendar year with such a visa, a third application will probably be rejected.

It depends, you might get lucky and get it issued a third time, but a fourth time will 100% sure get rejected

And this regardless of applying in your home country or in a neighboring country of Thailand. They check your passport for those stamps and will see that you spent 180 days inside Thailand on a 90-days single entry visa, and then it’s up to their decision

Approx 365, unless you go multiple times per day.

No limits on a regular Non O visa or yearly extensions of stay as long as you buy a re-entry permit at the immigration or airport before you leave. You can buy single re-entry permit at 1000 baht or multiple re-entry permits at 3800 baht. This allows you to get stamped in within the validity of your current visa/stay.

A one year Non O-A retirement visa is always issued with multiple entries at the embassy/consulate.
