TLDR : Answer Summary
The average processing time for American tourists to obtain their visa and Certificate of Entry (COE) for Thailand ranges from 6 days to 2-3 weeks, depending on various factors such as the processing location and document questions. Some individuals reported completing the process in as little as 10 days, while others recommended allowing at least 3 weeks to avoid stress.

Why and how can anyone do 2 weeks of quarantine/lockup.
That's what I'm already doing where I live. I figure I might as well do it in Thailand and then afterwards get to explore in a country that has low numbers with covid. I also really wanna do muay thai kickboxing and drop this covid 15 lol.
youre a trooper,I personally have many assets in Thailand, but cant do 15 days in a room.Im going to latin american to sunny beaches with no quarantine,Good luck with the muay thai.

2 weeks for me. I started the process on the DC site but it was forwarded to Chicago. I think a few days were lost though because I called Chicago after not hearing anything and it turned out they had a question on my insurance that I answered. There was also 2 days of a Thai holiday that they were closed in there. So 10 days or so, but I would allow at least 3 weeks just so its not too stressful in case there are questions on any documents.
no agency. Personally I don't feel they add enough value for the cost. You still have to pull all the required documents together and fill out the forms. They can help catch errors or follow up with the embassy if there are issues. Which for some is worth it to take the stress of that away, especially if you have never been through a visa application process before.
yes, I did. I was worried the more reasonably priced ones may fill up for the dates I booked since I was trying to do it all quickly and people were just finding out about the TR visa being offered again. I did make sure I booked an ASQ that gave a full refund or allowed me to reschedule if the visa or COE was denied or delayed as well as if I were to test positive before departure. I also booked the flight with Qatar which offers free rescheduling.
