Hi Everyone,

I am a New Zealand citizen. My Thai wife lives in Chiang Mai and I want to move there to be with her.

I know I have to get a Certificate of Entry (CoE) and a non-immigrant 0-visa. But both of these require booking the flight and ASQ hotel first. But I've no idea how long it will take to process the CoE & visa.

Does anyone have any idea how long the CoE/visa process takes so I can book a flight accordingly?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a New Zealand citizen, inquires about the processing time for a Certificate of Entry and non-immigrant O-visa to move to Thailand and be with their Thai wife. It doesnt really make any sense all this. Why are they making peoples life more complicated ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ Good luck! We are also trying to enter to Thailand from Bali. I am Thai but my husband and daughter are Swiss. We just spoke with the Thai embassy here and they told us that theres no commercial flight to Thailand so no chances for my husband and daughter to get in right now.

The only people who can tell you how long it take to get you the documents are the staff from the Thai Embassy. Contact them and you get the best answer

Thanks. Communication by phone with the embassy is difficult. I'm waiting for a reply to an email. Just wondered if anyone here had done this recently.
