Post edit: at 5.50pm I received an email... And got approved!!!! What a turn of events lol I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who replied.
Hello,
I'm worried because I applied in Cambodia for dtv remote work on April 9th. The latest update on the site is from the 10th and nothing since then. I know that songkran delayed things a bit but my visa in Cambodia lasts until the 6th of May and I'm getting super stressed about it.
I sent them a polite email on Monday to ask if any more documents were needed or if they needed me to come over to the ambassy in case they have questions but I didn't get any answers or updates on the site.
Not sure if there's anything else I can do rather than waiting but I feel lonely and overstressed at the moment and just want this to be ove as I'm getting tired of extending my hotel day by day. So I guess maybe if someone has some guidance or went through a similar situation can help that would ease my mind a lot
π
On the plus side I've only been treated by respect and friendliness by Cambodians here and feel really welcome so I'm grateful for this. But not be able to plan anything (I'm tired of the digital nomad life after 7 years and want to settle down in Thailand at least for the next 5 years) is giving me high anxiety.

I applied on April 4th and got approved just two days ago (28th April on Monday). You should hear back soon too. The process took 24 days because of Songkran and the Thai ministerβs trip to Cambodia on 23rd n 24th thatβs why it was delayed.
just got approved! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!

Anonymous participant Thank You for your helpful report π
Congratulations πππ
PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.
That's what you should do... print it out.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
I'm happy you got it!! I guess we applied at the worst timing π thank you for sharing your experience

Thatβs super stressful having to wait that long. I understand how you must feel having to live day by day in a hotel and constantly checking your emails for updates every day.
As frustrating as it is, please hang in there. Itβs now just gone past the 10 business days, so Iβm very certain youβll get an update by this weekend. If not, send out another email explaining your situation with your visa, and donβt forget to quote your passport number and specific case number too.
Sending you strength your way π€

Considering that during the Songkran week nothing happend, I think today is the 10th business day since your application (not counting the day of application). Cambodia normally issues the visa exactly 10 (or actually 11) business days after the application. And mine came after hours, pretty late in the evening. Just give them a 1 or 2 more days before you get nervous!
oh thank you! Ok I'll wait until Friday before panicking more and will send another email by then in case things haven't moved :)

They quote 10 working days and you've only been 11 so far. I suspect the holidays have delayed processing somewhat but I'd expect you to hear in the next couple of days
