Hello everyone, I just got my DTV e-visa through Phnom Penh embassy.

Here’s how I did it & my experience.

I applied on 21st 11am, and got my visa on 29th 5:30pm.

I went through soft power, medical route.

🤞🏼6 months bank statements from my Bangkok account.

🤞🏼confirmation letters from two doctors I am visiting and 2 appointment letters from both of them for 4th November 2024. (Both same date)

🤞🏼one night Phnom Penh hotel proof of stay, and 2 nights from sihanoville.

If you guys are planning to apply from Cambodia, I suggest doing it while you get your holidays. Nothing much to do here in Phnom Penh, so I went to sihanoville for 3 days, Koh rong saloem for 2 days, then back to Phnom Penh.

I find Phnom Penh more expensive than HCMC, even though I’ve heard lots of other people say the other way round. But food is great here. Lots of Chinese food options, Indian and Indonesian.

If you have any questions, please ask away 😄

Hi. Can you please share the details about the medical route.

It appears much more straight forward than the business route.

Thank you

yes it seems like that to me too; that’s why I chose this route.

you just need confirmation letter from your doctor with Hosptial letterhead, and an appointment letter from the Hosptial. For the letter, you can simply ask them to write you a letter for visa extension. They will do it for you.

Then make a follow up appointment.

If you have ongoing medical history in Thailand, it would be the best. I have on going treatments so it was really easy for me.

Do you have to go to Phnom penh,

Or can do it from Siem Reap?

And ok so they didn’t ask for 6 months bank paper - think 1 month would be ok?

you can do it from anywhere as long as you are in Cambodia. Some say they do it with 1 month, some says 6, and I chose the safe option. You can always try your luck i guess 😅

I've got a question. You made only two appointments for the medical route and obtained the 5 years dtv Visa?

yes. But the clinics in Thailand always make follow up appointments every six months, so I guess the embassies know that. 😅

Others reported only one month bank statement was requested. Were you asked for 6 months or just gave them that
