TLDR : Answer Summary
Expats looking for the best Thai bank for service and online banking have several options. Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn, and SCB are frequently recommended for their services tailored to foreigners. Opening an account typically requires a letter from your embassy confirming your address, proof of residence, and a valid visa. Kasikorn is noted for its easy online banking setup, although users must visit a branch to activate the app. Overall, experiences vary by branch, so it's advised to choose wisely.

You could try The Old Salem Bank, they have valet broom parking and free spells for new accounts.

Bangkok bank has always been good to me. Have no idea of the others. The only thing that pisses me off about BKK bank is they sent me to immigration to get a residential certificate to open an account. I've heard others never had to do that so just choose your branch wisely

just got an account in Krungsri Udon Thani - brought passport and proof of residence from immi (500 baht) - no problem. Kasikorn said no - they wanted a visa stamp in my passport but I had the evisa stamp - very strange

Kasikorn's online banking is great and pretty easy to open an account as well. Less paperwork than what Bangkok Bank wanted

Only negative is having to physically go to a branch or ATM to have the app work on your phone. Too bad if you're out of the country and need to install and use the Kasikorn app...

you have to go physically anyway to open an account and they make sure their app is working on your phone as well

Many are. I've used Bangkok Bank as they have affiliation with B of A in NY, and branches in other some countries.

Others may as well, just been w/ BBK for 20 years.

In no particular order, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn and SCB. You can check on their websites for the information pertaining to your circumstances and the advantages for foreigners using these banks as opposed to others. Good luck to you.

Go Bangkok Bank Silom branch. They deal with a lot of foreigners. Make sure you get a letter from your country's embassy (you may need to pay for this service) confirming your address in your home country and thailand. With that letter you shouldn't have any hassles.
