How long do I have to transfer my one-year retirement extension to my new British passport after renewal?

It depends on Immigration Office, some want you to do it directly others don't mind if you do this on your next 90 day report. You need also the letter from your Embassy.

So you pick up your passport in BKK, than become residence in Hua Hin. You need to report your address within 24 hours after arrival at Hua Hin Immigration, you can directly transfer your stamp that day.
