Hi. I. Traveling to Vientiane tomorrow to obtain a new 60 day tourist visa . My question is about the forms , can I print them off or do I have to obtain them from the consulate ? , also can I pay in Thai baht ? I also hoping that I don’t have to show a ticket out of Thailand and proof of funds.
Grateful for any advice. Kr

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 60-day tourist visa in Vientiane, you can print the application form at home, but there’s a possibility you might need to fill it out again at the consulate, as they often provide their own forms. It's recommended to bring your printed forms just in case. Payment can be made in Thai baht. You generally do not need to present proof of onward travel or proof of funds while applying for the visa in Vientiane, and there are many local services available for photocopying and completing forms.
You need a copy of the page of ur passport with ur picture and all ur info. And a copy of ur laos visa page (the one with the little blue stamps with the date and the one on the right side with the big visa on arrival that take all the page). I think that's all u need. Put both Laos page on the same photocopy.
Easy at Vientiane all ur worry’s will disintegrate can get forms there also everything u need is there photos forms photocopying right outside 20 baht etc
You dont need any proofs at Vientiane, there are plenty of copy shops that will fill out the app form and make your copies and passport photos for a small fee. They only take Thai baht, so that's a yes
Mikkel Kruse As much as it look shady, he is not a scammer. He has been there for a long time and he is still there today. I use him a few time but not anymore, Vientiane not as crowded as it use to be if you know which day and what time to go best for ur tourist visa. As far as I know he is the only legit one. Now, I am not promoting him, I don't recommend using him to save time just go on a wednesday or thursday around 11am to go quickly. Those are always the best day and time of the day. p.s: I know about the sign, the sign have been there for years.
Having been there several times I saw that its the same guys standing there each time.. They must make a decent living. Only takes a couple of fools a day to make a great salary ;)
Maybe they thought you used a "visa agent" (the scammers out front offering to speed you thru everything for 1000-2000 bath).. They have a big sign saying there is no visa agent service accepted.
The only advantage being if there are loads of people already when they open, you can get a better queue number by not using time to fill out forms etc
jesus dude, when did this happen? You only allowed two cambo trips per year, were you on the third? ... im going this saturday ... my second cambo trip this calendar year ... did one to laos but that was a two months tourist visa, and they dont count apparently
Better be safe than sorry. I had been disallowed reentry the morning of my last attempted cambo visa run as I'd apparently exceeded land visa run allotments and immigration(cambo border) informed me that at this point, only air return would be acceptable. I took a bus to Siam Reep, booked a flight to Subvanapum, was asked for proof of funds & onward travel. Was only able to produce 200 as I'd exceeded my daily limit paying for multiple bus rides and plane ticket so detained for 6hrs & deported back to Siam Reep. After an ordeal bus ride to Pnom pen, an unwanted weekend stay, counterfeit change FROM the window at the Thai embassy and an ATM, I was permitted reentry 9 days later with a 30 day. The embassy did require an atm receipt and copies of onward travel. No problem this time, but had funds in pocket and my flight ticket just in case. I'm sure I created the highpoint of the deportation officers career. Maybe I just had really bad luck but BE PREPARED
I printed a form from the official website for Vientiane and was told to fill it in again using the form there (it was identical) you could try your luck but be prepared to fill it out twice.
I think - think - you can print them but as I remember it's 5baht per page, so it's probably much cheaper to print them before. And yes you can pay in baht
