Hey everyone, ciao!
Thank you for letting me join this group! I used to live in Bangkok back in 2015, hope all of you living there are staying healthy!
So, since I lived in Thailand for more than 6 months, I was asked to get a Thai Police Certificate in order to obtain a US visa. I wanted to ask here if anyone tried to request and obtain a Thai Police Certificate from abroad? (I'm in Italy at the moment)
Also, considering that I had a work permit for less than 6 months, while using a non-b visa for 3 months and multiple tourist visas (I lived in Thailand for a total of a year and a half), I was wondering if in your opinion I would still need to obtain this Certificate.
Not sure this makes sense, but thank you so much for any help!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a Thai Police Certificate from Italy, having lived in Thailand for over a year and needing the certificate for a US visa. They are uncertain if they need the certificate due to their previous work and visa history. Community members suggest contacting the Thai embassy in Italy and mention that the process may require appearing in person in Thailand. They also clarify that if the US embassy requests the certificate, it should be obtained regardless of previous visa status.
