Hello everyone

I would like to apply for ED visa in Malaysia and it requires me a criminal record. As I won't go back to my home country in short term, my school suggests me can apply it from the Thai Royal Police. Does anybody know if it is correct? As I suppose criminal record is from home country? Does anyone has the experience of applying this?

Thank you for every advice in advance! 🙏😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a criminal record from the Thai Royal Police for an ED visa application, given that they are unable to return to their home country soon. Several comments confirm that it is indeed correct to seek a criminal record check from Thai authorities, and that the requirement can often be met through the last country of residence rather than exclusively from one's home country.

You normally need a criminal record check from the last country you resided in for the last 6 months. Not necessarily your home country
