This is more an "away from Thailand visa" advice ... I need a police check for potential new jobs. How to get one without a letter of request from a specific employer? My current school won't give me one, because then the letter goes direct to the school, so ...?? Police website info contradicts my experience last year when I did it for visa renewal, so I don't know what's up there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat in Thailand is seeking advice on how to obtain a police check necessary for job applications without a request letter from their current employer, which they are unable to get. They refer to conflicting information from police resources based on their past experience while renewing their visa. Comments provide useful suggestions, including contacting the Police General Hospital for assistance and referencing official police headquarters.

I know the where - that's the usual place. I just keep getting told I need a letter from a workplace requesting the certificate, can't do on my own.
