TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Non-B investment visa issued outside Thailand, you should primarily contact the Board of Investment (BOI), as they are responsible for such visa categories. Ensure you have the necessary documentation, including proof of your investment, and reach out to the BOI for guidance on the extension process. You can find further information and assistance through their websites or offices, notably the One Stop Center in Bangkok.

>, but I can tell you it’s a NON-IMM B visa

Sadly, without having a visa (with the confidential information redacted there is nothing we can help you with further. According to

*****************************************************

"Directly investing in technology-based business in the targeted industries in Thailand, as an individual investor or through a venture capital company in Thailand for a total amount of at least 20 million Baht.

Directly investing as an individual investor for a total amount of at least 5 million Baht in a startup or an incubation or accelerator program endorsed by relevant agencies. The investor can invest in more than 1 business but must maintain the investment throughout the validity period of Smart Visa."

The BOI would be your main point of contact to get an extension of stay for these visas. You can contact them at
*****************************************************
or at the One Stop Center at Chamburi Square in Bangkok. They have a reputation for quick, responsive service.

If you want the post reopen, please send a mod a message with a copy of this "Non-B Investment visa" with the confidential information redacted.

Thank you.

Is the Non b for business?

And did you get it from a Thai business sponsoring you or inviting you to Thailand?

Or from a travel agency that arranged for the invite letter to Thailand ?

Not for business purposes, investment purposes, so a little different.

@Nina *****
thank you for your clarification...😊

A non-B investment visa should have been issued by the BOI. Have you asked the BOI?

just make sure, your visa is Non-IMM B, not Non-imm IB (with a capital i before B ) or Smart *. Is this right?

I can confirm it is a NON-IMM B visa (no capital I before the B.)

If it's Non-B (B only), I don't think you can use BOI OSOS, but worth to try I guess.

Best is to talk with your sponsor and your local immigration office.

@Nina *****
, In that case, your visa may not be for investment purposes or categorized as investment type (regarding to only visa type itself), but it could be 'business', not employment.

Don't you have any Thai side sponsors for your visa?

what’s the BOI? It was issued by our Embassy back at home.

If you don't mind, can you share a picture of your non-B visa? Non-B investment visas (Or SMART Investment visas) are issued by the BOI, so I want to know what you have that you're calling an investment visa
