If I have non-immigrant B visa for 90 days and want to stay 1 month longer (not working, just travelling) what is the best way to do it without leaving the country? Also, did anybody do this type of visa in Hanoi recently? Do I need any original document or printed scan should be okey?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your non-immigrant B visa for an additional month without leaving Thailand, it is advisable to perform a border run, for example, to Myanmar, which is approximately a 4-hour drive from Bangkok. Make sure to check the entry requirements for your nationality, as you may receive a different duration of stay upon re-entry (either 30 or 15 days). Alternatively, extending the visa beyond one year requires certain documents from your employer, and you would need to visit an Immigration Office with the required paperwork.

To stay an extra month it would be easiest to to a border run to Myanmar, about 4 Hours drive from Bangkok and cost 2000THB. Not sure what your nationality is so check beforehand if you get 30 days or 15 days when entering Thailand again.

Dominik Dagobert Thanks, that's good to know because I may be living in Kanchanaburi in the future.

It's about 1hour drive from Kanchanaburi and the border is called Ban Phu Nam Ron.

I highly recommend this visa run company run by a German expat.

much more hassle IMO. You run the risk to be questioned by stuck up immigration officers at the airport unless you plan to stay a couple of days in Malaysia.

There is a long list of documents needed to get a Non Immigrant B visa. You can only extend this with documents from employer, tax and sso payments inside Thailand for 1 year at Immigration Office. Here the list with requirements of the Thai Consulate in Hanoi
