TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your visa in Thailand, specifically for a non-B (business) or student visa, you will need to provide proof related to your situation. For a non-B visa, your employer can assist with the necessary paperwork, while for a student visa, your educational institution can help. It's important to note that you cannot simply extend the visa itself; instead, you extend the period of stay as granted upon your entry with the visa.

Commenting off. The visa comes AFTER you decide what to do, and to think you can just get a visa because you want to stay is wrong.

You need some proof to apply for Extension of Stay. Your Employer can help with the paper works if you like it based on working or your school will help if based on Study. You can not extend the visa, only the admiited to stay period you got on entry with the visa.

Or find a school who is willing to teach what you want to learn, ask them for help with the papers and you can stay till the end of your study period.

Find a job, get all the paperworks with help from Employer and you can stay as long as he employs you.

Yes. What should I do? Study visa or work permit?

For your options: You need to WORK and have WORK PERMIT, not easy. Or go to school with a minimum of 20 hours a week, not easy.

Retirement is the most easy to stay long time. Being over 50 years old and have 800.000 Thb on the bank. Or Thai Elite Visa, gives you 5 years of stay for 500.000 Thb.

If you want an Education Visa you need indeed a school who support you with lessons and help you with the paperworks. If you like a Non Immigrant B you need an Employer.
