Hello, has anyone extend a non-B visa before?

If yes, what document did you provide?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for extending a non-B visa can vary depending on your specific situation, such as whether you are affiliated with the BOI, are a teacher, or hold a non-teaching position.
Lloyd ********
That would all depend on if you are BOI, teacher, or non teaching job.

@Lloyd *******
thank you. But in all these cases I need a work permit. Which I don’t have. 😭

@Louise ******
then you can't get an extension on the Non-B you have, 😕

There is no way to extend a Non-B without a work permit

you'd have to leave the country and get a new Non-B at a thai consulate

OR

come back in on a visa exempt entry and apply inside the country for a Non-B at the immigration office

That's interesting I never knew visa exempt could be changed to a non b in Thailand I thought it was a tourist visa, thanks for the info 👍

@Dave *******
visa exempt or tourist visa can be changed to a 90 day Non-B inside thailand providing you meet the requirements and have enough time left on your current stamp

BUT

many employers cannot meet the more stringent requirements to do that in country conversion <- that's why they would just send people to the thai consulates in nearby countries to get them,

The requirements are not as strict at the consulates

thank you for reading and taking your time to answer. I’m waiting for the teacher waiver to start the work permit process. It’s not ready yet and I’m non-B is about to expire.
