REPORT. Successfully converted my COVID-19 extension to O Marriage Visa. 90 day was done automatically. Need to return to Counter L (CW) before 7 April to apply for 12 month extension with my wife. Apparently same documents plus update bank. Some additional forms as well, which I picked up when I was there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully converted their COVID-19 extension to an O Marriage Visa and reports that their 90-day reporting was done automatically. They need to return to Counter L (CW) before April 7 to apply for a 12-month extension with their wife. They mentioned needing the same documents as before but with an updated bank statement, along with some additional forms. Other users provided insights on the requirements and procedures for applying for the Non-O visa in Bangkok.

to apply for an in country Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai the financial requirements are one of these:

you show you have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only transferred in from overseas,

OR

you show a letter from your embassy stating you get 40K baht a month in income from abroad (if your embassy issues that letter)

OR

you legally work here and show pay stubs work permit etc that are more than 40K baht a month

OR

you transfer in to the country into a thai bank account in your name only a minimum of 40K baht a month each month every month for the previous year.

IF you have more questions please make your own post..

Yep, as long as you meet the financial and document requirements have at least 15 days on your covid extension you can apply for an in country Non-O visa without much issue in Bangkok in section C-1. You get a 14 day under consideration stamp when you go apply then go back and get he Non-O visa inked in (stamped USED) then a new 90 day stamp. The you can go back and apply for the year extension
