TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot renew a Multiple Entry Non-Immigrant O visa; it expires on the date mentioned. Instead, you should apply for a new visa using the eVisa system at the Thai embassy in London when you are ready to return to Thailand. Currently, you can only obtain a Single Entry Non-Immigrant O visa valid for 90 days, which you can later extend to one year once in Thailand. Additionally, there are financial requirements needed for ongoing visas and extensions.

NO visa has financial requirements, 800,000 baht in the bank for at least 2 months before extension or 65,000 baht a month before tax. Not all embassies issue income letters

NO, you can not renew a used visa.

NO, you can NOT apply for a new 1 year Non Immigrant O visa,

Sorry to disappoint you and others, but that type of visa is out of stock, you can buy the Single Entry Non Immigrant O visa which gives you once 90 days of stay and than you need to extend inside Thailand with 1 year at Immigration

OR

you might choose for the Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O-A (long stay) visa, but this has more requirements like police check and health insurance.

is it possible to extend the Non imigrant visa after the 3 months with 1 month ๐Ÿค”

IF the visa is issued due to having Thai family members you can apply for a 60 day Extension based on visiting family.

otherwise it will be a 1 year Extension of Stay but you are allowed to leave after 1 month

@Robert ******
a question please Robert. After the 90 days and you get a one year extension of stay for visiting thai family can this be your wife? It is not a visa but an extension of stay. Does it come with Financial requirements? Thank you for your time.

@Paul **********
You make it complicated.

IF you have a VISA based on being over 50 years of age the answer is NOT the first Extension of Stay as this has to be for the same reason why the visa is issued.

IF you have a VISA based on marriage with a Thai Citizen, your wife, than yes and yes there is a financial requirement

I came with a non o so I can stay for 3 months, what if I don't go on for the retirement and leave before the 3 month, is that ok ?

You can leave Thailand without problems before the last date stamped in your passport as admitted until xx/xx/xx

Nope you can't renew visas, they run out when they run out

yep, you go to the thai embassy london website and use the eVisa system to apply for a new Non-O visa.

Keep in mind that year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas based on retirement, marriage to a thai or raising thai children are no longer available, you can get a 90 day single entry only

Here is the eVisa website

When I got a twelve month multiple entry O visa many years ago you didn't need to be married to a Thai, or for your application to be based on any other criteria, apart from supposedly a bank statement and the one and only I got they didn't even ask about money and there was no certain age requirement. I believe this type of visa in London at least is no longer available, but for years work colleagues of mine used to get this visa as we lived and worked offshore in South East Asia.
