TLDR : Answer Summary
A sole trader in the UK inquired if a tax return could be used as proof of employment for the DTV visa in Thailand, which would involve alternating six months in Thailand and six months back in the UK. Community responses indicated that while a tax return could be utilized, it might not be sufficient on its own. Additional documentation, such as business certificates or incorporation papers, may be necessary to strengthen the application, and users advised submitting a comprehensive set of documents to expedite the process.

Contact your local embassy - I don’t believe that would be accepted

The UK embassy accepts tax returns along with other relative documentation. A tax return alone is not suffice.

Hi

I went via London Embassy. For company proof I sent them my business certificate (my company is UAE based) so I’d throw in your certificate of incorporation and anything else you have that relates to your ownership.

Basically send as much paperwork as you have.

Makes it a lot easier and quicker!
