How can I sponsor my spouse while on a retirement visa in Thailand?
For those on the retirement visa, how easy or difficult is it to sponsor your spouse?
(Spouse is under retirement age)
From what I can tell, you need 400,000 baht in the bank, marriage certificate, letter of sponsorship and proof of shared residence (TM30).
What has been your experience with it? Anything else I need to know?

The 400k is the requirement for a Non-O visa if you have a Thai wife not a dependent visa.

Sure it would be that simple, if it was possible anymore.
Embassies no longer sell non-O trailing spouse visas if the primary person is on a non-O retirement visa.
Converting to a non-O trailing spouse visa is not possible inside of Thailand.
The ONLY possibility is some embassies will sell a non-O trailing spouse visa if the primary is on a one year non-OA visa, which has much higher requirements than the non-O visa and will require mandatory Thai insurance for extensions forever. And even then you would need to check with your embassy before applying to find out if it's one of the embassies that will do this.
