How can I manage my retirement visa renewal while my wife undergoes treatment?
Hi my retirement visa I've had a few years now it's due for renewal end of Oct yearly. My wife has come down with civicil treatment that's why I've been using retirement visa.As from March next year IAM back on the 6 monthly trips.so between October and March I will need to restart my visa again but without a six months one any help please on my situation ? There’s no visa that will allow you 6 months in Thailand a DTV will allow 180 days but it’s 5 year visa just keep your retirement visa

I'm struggling to understand the context here. But why not just keep your annual retirement extension going?

Paul Irwin I also come only for 6 months each time, I get my yearly extension of stay since 18 years, I keep the 800,000 THB in my Thai bank account, it is a good emergency money in case I need a hospital. No worries, no headaches. In and out of Immigration in 20 minutes

Paul Irwin all extensions cost 1900B and the 12 mont extensions work out the cheapest by month ;)

Paul Irwin If you every time come back to Thailand let's say a couple of weeks before your extension is finished, you can apply for the next one, also with a re-entry permit. So that's only 1,900฿ + 1,000฿ for the year extension and the re-entry permit. Two acquaintances of me do this. One of them only for 4 months a year in Thailand.
