ORIGINAL POSTER
Hello All….. I have a 1 year ME Non O tourist visa (!) which was issued in London. It will expire on May 2nd and I was hoping that it could be extended by another’s month here in Bangkok as I visit the UK in early June…. Would this be possible with this type of visa…..? Thanks….

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) holds a 1-year multi-entry Non-O visa, which grants them a 90-day stamp upon entry. They mistakenly believed this visa could be extended by one month. However, it's clarified that there is no extension available for this type of visa. Instead, to continue their stay in Thailand, the OP must leave the country before their visa expires on April 30, 2024, and then re-enter to receive a new 90-day entry stamp. Various comments confirm the OP's situation and his misunderstanding regarding the visa details.

okay, here's the deal, he know he has a year long, multi-entry Non-O visa that gets him a 90 day stamp

AND

The last time he entered the country he was stamped in for 90 days until May 2nd.

That's where he got his wires crossed about the "my visa expires" statement.

He's on an ENTRY STAMP that lets him stay until May 2nd,

BUT

he holds a year long, multi-entry visa that is valid only until April 30th 2024.

He needs to bounce out and back on or before the date the VISA expires (April 30th) to get a NEW 90 day entry stamp. Then he'll be okay. 🙂

could Steve apply, inside Thailand, for an extension of a further 12 months leading up to the expiry date?

@Chris *****
he could but he needs only 30 more days past his current entry stamp and then he goes back to his country, so bouncing out and back is all he needs to do because he'll get a 90 day stamp doing that

There is no 1 year ME Non-O tourist visa 🙁

What you have is a year long, multi-entry Non-O visa (nothing to do with tourism)

That visa is good for unlimited entries during the year validity and gets a 90 day stamp every time you enter thailand.

There is no 30 day extension available on that visa.

you have your wires crossed, LOOK at the image you posted. It clearly says "Visa mist be used by" and has the date of April 30th, 2024,

So exit the country and re-enter (by air or land) on or by that date and you'll get stamped in for a new 90 days. 🙂

Is it possible to get stamped in for 90 days past the expiry date ( April 30th 2024) of the visa? i.e. come in on April 15 2024 and get stamped until July 14, 2024.

of course, as long as you enter ON or before the date the VISA expires you get stamped in for the days that visa gets you and in this case that's 90 days
