You have a 45 day visa exempt entry, and that can be extended at your local immigration for 30 days, costing 1900 baht.

correct, if in Bangkok, just make sure you go to the right immigration, as of late last year visa exempt extensions were at some shopping centre NOT Chaeng Wattana

On visa-exempt go to IT Square, Laksi Plaza temporary office, just next to Lak Si station of SRT Dark Red Line. All extensions cost 1900B.
