Is it possible to extend tourist visa / visa on arrival before the current one expires?
If yes how many days before expiration?
I need to plan my travels and when I can go to immigration.
Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to extend a tourist visa or visa on arrival in Thailand before it expires. Most immigration offices allow extensions up to 30 days prior to expiration, while some locations like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket permit extensions 45 days in advance. However, places like Jomtien and Samui only allow extensions 7 days prior.

I’m assuming you mean a free stamp that you got at the airport known as a visa exempt entry because a visa on arrival that you pay 2,000 baht for at the airport can’t be extended.
That said the answer is that most offices will allow 30 days prior. Some like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket allow 45 days. Jomtien and Samui only allow 7 days prior.
