TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a 30-day extension of a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand within the last 30 days before it expires. However, specific immigration offices may have different rules. For instance, some offices, such as those in Jomtien and Koh Samui, allow extensions only within the last 7 days. It's recommended to check with your local immigration office for the exact regulations pertaining to your situation.
Just go ask at your local immagration. It's easy as they will know the local rule. Every office has different rules so don't waste time here with 1000 different answers. Don't be scared of immagration your not a criminal just a tourist
The rules regarding tourist extension are anyway quite clear so no reason for 1000 different answers. Some immigrations as Bangkok and Chiang Mai allow you to apply for an extension 45 days before your current stay expires. The rest allows extension within the last 30 days, except Jomtien and Samui who accept extension within the last week.๐
