Hi everyone, has anyone applied for Non-b for teachers? What kind of criminal record they require? My school told me, and the rest of new teachers, to get our criminal record in BKK, but I checked on the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur website and in their check list the criminal record should be from the country of origin and authenticated by my embassy as well.๐Ÿค”

How do you get a criminal record check in Thailand? What do you need to show and where, if you know ( I assume your local immigation or police station?)

Just to share... Recently processed my Non B Visa (Teaching) in Penang... must have a Police Clearance issued from Thailand(got mine from Suratthani) with finger printing) (a letter of request was addressed to this Office as well prior) and another police clearance issued from your country of origin. I do have one from my country of origin: though issued a year ago and was not authenticated from my embassy... i submitted it and was accepted. Got my visa the next day. Thanks sir Robert Lagas for all the information and advices.

being denied entry is not a criminal offense so I guess it will not be on the list.

Robert Lagas do you know if the Thai criminal check includes or involves being denied entry into Thailand previously? It would seem it shouldnt matter... but i have learned to never assume anything anymore. thank you

update: denied due to too many stamps in a year

you need a criminal record check for the Ministry of Education, your school will tell you from which country, And depending on Thai Embassy or Consulate the school likes you to visit for the Non Immigrant B visa you need one from home country on Thailand or even from both.
