Hi. I am from the UK and on a tourist visa in BKK. I have just joined a school as a teacher and they are processing my Visa Non B. They say they have been advised that as part of this I have to ensure my degree certificate is proven to be real. Does anyone know where in BKK I would take this to get it checked / stamped and authorised? Before the school then gives me the paperwork to take to immigration?

Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen in Bangkok on a tourist visa is seeking guidance on how to authenticate their degree certificate for a Non-B visa as they are starting a teaching position. Several comments suggest that the verification process must be completed in the UK rather than Thailand, and that the UK Embassy does not provide degree certification in Bangkok. Users recommend checking the UK government website for procedural information and mention that seeking assistance from local expat communities or teaching groups in Bangkok might yield helpful insights.

and unfortunately seeing as it's NOT necessarily a thai VISA question but more a document from the UK needed to get a visa question we're done.

Post on a f/b page for the city you're in in Bangkok and someone will answer for sure or post on the Ajarn group or teaching in thailand.

You're not the first brit that has needed this done..

It has to be done via here. You cannot do it in Thailand.

There is NO degree certification done by the UK consulate here for brits, It's ALL done via the UK now.

it has all to be done in the UK, you can find the links at your Embassy website. But I hope somebody saved the picture of the procedures to show you.

. Ok thanks. Iโ€™m hoping that will be the case as sending back and forth to the UK may take a lot of time

it is like Thai immigration, not every foreign Embassy has the same service level. Please do not compare or advice as it is the same.

for american one, we just go to the embassy here. We make an appt online and show up and get our docs notorized. I would think its the same for uk?

is it ok to go into the one in BKK as someone told me I may have to send it back to UK to get checked? Also is it pre- booking like in UK or just walk in for BKK English embassy ?
