Need visa related help.. I am currently on tourist visa.. my husband is employed here and the company is willing to get my dependent -O visa done...now in the meantime I have given interview for lecturer position in a college (for teaching under graduate students) and cracked it.. they have provided me with the following documents for applying immigrant non b employment visa for teachers.
1. Signed employment contract
2. Invitation letter
3. Registration papers of the college with ID proofs
The consulate in my home country however is also asking for a letter of approval (wp3) from the ministry of education as a mandatory document to obtain Non-B visa... But the college states that they will not be able to provide this document unless I get my police clearance certificate, non- b employment visa and re-enter the kingdom of Thailand... It's like a viciuos circle.. I don't get the visa unless I have the letter of approval and I don't get the letter of approval unless I have the visa..
Has anyone faced such a problem?
What is a workaround for this situation?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a tourist visa in Thailand and seeking a Non-B visa for teaching. They have the necessary documents from a college but face a challenge due to the requirement of a WP3 approval letter from the Ministry of Education, which the college cannot provide without a police clearance certificate and a Non-B visa. Users are discussing the differing opinions on the required documentation and procedures for acquiring the visa and work permit.
You can keep on going, but your college need to apply for a Work Permit using application method 3 ( the foreigner is abroad) and when they receive the WP3 form as in this example you can apply for a Visa. Sorry but the problem is your college who is using the incorrect ways to help you forward with a Visa and a Work Permit.
sorry for all the language confusion..it's all a newcomers misunderstanding of the Thailand visa system.. maybe I was not able to explain my problem clearly earlier.. I simply want to get the document related to 5.2 ..as per the checklist I have shared in my previous comments.. could you please elaborate on the procedure to get that?
Currently my location is Bangkok.. I am on tourist visa here so for doing the police record check as well as non b visa, I have to go to home country (India) ... the college (my employer) says that wp3 procedure is done only for ministry of labour and not done in ministry of education.. while the consulate in India states that wp3 from ministry of education is mandatory to process visa..
when my husband came for employment in a organization, this is the exact procedure that he followed minus the police record check which was not applicable for him since was not into teaching.. however my employer states that the procedure for non b visa of someone applying through and organization and someone applying through the college is different..
