A Question that properly been up here before :) My friends workpermit and employment is expired this month, but his Non B will expire in December. He wish to go next week to Sawannakhet and change to a Non O. Question is do he need to have his Non B cancelled first or can he just cross the border and apply for the new visa? TIA

The question discusses whether a person in Thailand needs to cancel their Non-B visa before applying for a Non-O visa after their work permit has expired. Comments suggest that staying without a valid work permit may lead to overstaying issues and provide insights about visa validity and the application process.
